We really enjoyed our time the food and the show!
Quaint little place, parking is limited. Went for happy hour with friends, went to order chicken wings, oops we don’t have those. So we had to order from the main menu, of course. My companions did not find the food to be flavorful, neither the drinks. Atmosphere & service was good. Although, I would say they need additional assistance. Prices were a bit higher, I suspect you’re paying for location & ambiance.
First time here. Had a party of 4 and enjoyed the happy hour small plate special. All the food was great. Nice presentation, nicely seasoned. Food comes out FAST! staff friendly. Quiet atmosphere easy to converse with table partners. Would go again for sure. Quibbles: while the oysters are nicely presented with a trio of sauces and a good value the staff doesn’t k ow to bring them out first. Also the shucker didn’t know to release them from the shell. Minor issue. Just tell the server to bring first.
Coming here w/ constructive criticism, bc I so badly want this restaurant to do well! We were so excited (as fellow small business owners & local La Mesa residents) to try out this new spot. Atmosphere is 100% in terms of being impressive inside (not necessarily location, but inside is really cool). Service was poor - it was not busy for “Sunday Brunch” so we were the only 2 sat @ the bar watching the Padres game.
