The water treatment plant was built in the early 60's long before most homes in the area. The plant provides treated potable water to hundreds of thousands of people, schools, hospitals etc. It is true that the buildings are old, the plant has construction projects and many trees have been removed. But that is better than having no water.

This plant looks terrible. EBMUD has little interest in how this plant downgraded the quality of life for its close by residents. The constant construction trucks have taken a toll on the roads, and removal of trees and shrubs made the area ugly. EBMUD is a bad neighbor. 👎
