Don't repair, buy new scam Took in a carpet tool that has a large piece of carpet string wrapped around the roller causing it to stop. Walked in to have it removed and the first thing they said to me might be burned out motor or need a new bearing, without even looking at it. I asked them to look at it and call me before any work done. As I suspected, they called the next day and said the motor was burnt out. SOBEL ARE CROOKS !!!!!!!!! This place is a disgrace. I had taken in a 5 month old vacuum that I had purchased from there and they tried to charge me over $300 to fix it. I was told that I had blown my motor and board thats why my machine had no power. I was told it was NOT covered under warranty. I called Miele directly and they gave me other places to go as I told them i felt that Sobel vacuum wasn't being honest and trying to pull a fast one. I left with my vacuum and went to another vacuum store. The GENTLEMEN in the othe... read more
New owners - bad attitude I took an older but wonderful machine into them for a minor repair. All the wanted to do was to sell me a new expensive machine that might have worked as well as my old one, but my old one is just fine, thank you very much. The new one would have cost 25 times the price of the repair. I insisted on the repair and they did that well, but the pressure to buy was so great that I will no longer patronize them.
