I went to Soapy Jeff's at 4001 E Renner Rd, Richardson, Texas for a OBD state inspection. There were no cars in the inspection bay and the inspector was doing nothing but the guy named Jose told me that there were 2 cars ahead of me for inspection. The 2 cars were going through the car wash. I did not want a carwash, I jut wanted an inspection. Jose told me that I had to wait. I did not wait. I went to Kwik Kar Lube & Wash. Rip off. Liar! Boy do I feel stupid. I went to soapy jeff's on 07/04/2023 and told them I wanted a full detail which would have cost $350. The attendant said if I bought their $500 card they would throw in the detail for free. They did not detail my truck. The truck is absolutely filthy and now it stinks inside. When I looked at the receipt they charged me $550 and threw in an $18 car wash. Used to be my absolute favorite, but my leather is now ruined. I don't know what they are using, but It should not be used on leather! I didn't mind the cost, so why cheap out to the point that my leather is trashed? New car - not happy. Also, called in to see what kind of a carwash I should get where that wouldn't happen again and the call turned a bit sour. My suggestion is to not pre-pay the cards like I did - I have $175 left that I won't use now.
I lived by the Preston Rd. location for years and accumulated 9 car wash tickets, which was supposed to be worth a free Gold Car Wash. I decided to go back by there and use my tickets, but they refused to honor them. It's admittedly been 4-5 years, but there is no expiration date on the tickets.
