For the price of the food, go downstairs to El Chanate instead. At least the food isn't over/under cooked or over salted.
To get to Alta, take Peruvian express, then take the tunnel on the left side off the lift, then take Baldy express.
Take the Aerial tram for a great view at 11,000 feet.
April Ski vacations are the best! Less crowds, more sun, soft snow -- and no need to get out before 11 am! :)
