EAR CROP BUTCHER!!!! I TOOK MY 11 WEEK DOBERMAN PINSCHER HERE FOR AN EAR CROP. TWO DAYS LATER THE INFECTION WAS OUT OF CONTROL. I CALLED DR VAGO TO SEE IF IT WAS NORMAL AND HE TOLD ME EVERYTHING WAS FINE. NOT BELIEVING THAT EVERYTHING WAS OK I TOOK MY PUP ELSEWHERE. THE NEW VET TOLD ME IN HIS 35 YEARS OF CROPPING HAD NEVER SEEN SOMETHING QUITE LIKE THIS. HE ASKED IF THE EARS HAD BEEN DONE ON A KITCHEN TABLE. CURRENTLY FIGHTING TO SAVE MY DOGS EARS! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE IF YOU LOVE YOUR ANIMAL!
This place was very dirty and dark. these people never asked about my pet's shot record. God forbid someone brings in a dog with parvo!! Basically he did nothing for my dog, but put a 150.00 band-aid on her leg. You pay 40 something dollars for an office visit he can't even diagnose arthritis? a very common condition with certain breeds and my dog is as I found out from a real vet prone to arthritis, she had all of the symptoms. In my opinion there is no reason why he could not solve this problem. When I called the office a ... read more
my family has been going to Dr Vago for over 30 years --i have tried other vets when Dr Vago was not in the office and i felt i needed my dog looked at and believe me --they are expensive --i do find Dr Vago somewhat expensive but when you really think about it - if you're one of the lucky parents you may only need his services twice a year -- where as for yourself - you may have to see your dr monthly - either way it adds up. as far as his dedication to his profession i find him very knowledgable --and truthful --when it's ... read more
This place isn't sanity.i think a land fill is cleaner. If you love your pet don't take them there. Stuff all over the counters floor problyy never had been cleaned and a wellness check is I guess only checking the heat beat what a joke and a dirty uneducated place.
AWFUL!! DO NOT GO HERE!! I spoke with this vet 4 weeks ago ,talking to him about docking my 10 week doberman's ears, he told me specifically what week to come and get it done when he would be old enough. So we made an appointment. I brought my baby boy in this afternoon to get his ears docked for his appointment and he tells me that I need to wait 2 more weeks before he can do my doberman's ears. Also, there wasn't 1 other animal in sight. He had NO BUSINESS.. i wonder why? He told me that I was doing this for "my convience"... read more
PARMA'S BEST KEPT SECRET " GREAT VET'S" – I had one pretty sick little puppy. Tobie was so weak from vomiting and diarrhea he could't even stand up or lift his head. one of my co-workers referred me to Dr. Richard Vago at the Snow-Ridge Veterinary Hospital for immediate attention and care, so I made the call. When Doc heard of the state that Tobie was in, he instantly encouraged me to come in as soon a posible. When I arrived at his hospital, Doc was with another patient, but dropped everything to see my little buddie. After... read more
Best Doctor for any Feline Problems – I just recently got a chance to meet Dr. Vago at the Snow Ridge Vet Hospital. I was referred by my brother, who had taken his sick kitty to Dr. Vago, where a diaphramatic hernia was diagnosed and repaired. My dilema was that my older cat had started to go into seisures and I was debating whether it was more humane to put her down or atleast see if there was any thing that could be done to help her condition. Dr. Vago conducted an exhaustive exam and work-up, drew blood and took x-rays on... read more
HORRIBLE MY RABBIT DIED BECAUSE OF HIM – DONT GO TO HIM! I took my female bunny there to be spayed. He said to withdrawl food, water, and gave NO PAIN MEDS. I now talked with an Exotic Vetrinarian and she said You are NOT supposed to withdrawl food, and you GIVE THEM PAIN MEDS. Well I took her January 18th 2010 to get her spayed, and I found her dead January 20th 2010. I tried to get a hold of him, because I was getting concerned about her, But OF COURSE he was at a seminar, and could care less. I called them and told them th... read more
A Doctor that you can actually talk to! – I was having trouble with my female boxer having pups and called around to several Vets. No one would answer, even the simplest of questions, until I called Dr. Vago's office. He stayed on the phone for over 20 minutes answering most of my questions; then gave me his "emergency number" incase I needed him later that evening. As it worked out, my little Sheeba had 7 beautiful Boxer pups that night and I took her and the pups into Doc's place the next ,morning for their physicals and t... read more
