I'm a KC native born and raised. I've had all of the KC BBQ joints around. Don't underestimate this place because it's not one of the big name KC BBQ places. It's better than most bbq places around. We've been here several times and the food is always good, reasonably priced, and you get so much! There is no way to leave here on an empty stomach. Only thing to watch is there is one particular waitress who doesn't seem to like her job and treats guests like she can't be bothered by them. All the other staff are super friendly... read more
Great food and great prices. Highly recommend the ribs, burnt ends and baked beans.
Even though the place we relatively empty we couldn't even get drinks! We know the waitresses saw us because they actually had to walk around and past us to not serve us. When we complained on the way out the one closest to where we were sitting wanted to know where we were sitting!! EPIC FAIL!!!

We apologize that you were not served in timely manner. This will be addressed with management. This is not how we like our customers to leave the restaurant. Snead's ranks customer service as a top priority, but occasionally we do make mistakes. Sometimes it is a lack of communication between the person seating and the servers and we will be sure to take steps to keep this from happening again. Thank you for making us aware of the situation.

For 50 years my choice for brownies! Beans are pretty awesome too...
Best BBQ in Kansas City! Burnt ends are exceptional. BBQ chicken is wonderful! BBQ beans is an absolute must when you visit Snead's BBQ!
The jalapeño corn nuggets are the best ever just went and got some
