Even though I am a Neurologist, I am writing this review as a family member of a patient cared for by Dr. Wagle. My cousin had traumatic brain injury/brain bleed and was in coma for 6 weeks. Dr. Wagle was quite cold, direct, aggressive, and unempathetic. She requested a brain MRI which she refused to review with us saying that it did not change his management. Dr. Wagle was very nice. I have been dealing with headaches on and off for years and had no idea what kind they were or what to do. My only treatment experience was with the ER years ago. She was kind and explained the treatment process well. She conducted my exam, made some recommendations and came up with a plan for me. Thank you Dr Wagle.
Avoid this Doctor. I’m a 71-year-old who was once paid to teach human physiology to 400 level pre-meds at SIU-C. My office was in the same building that the first-year medical students used. (LS-1). Some of the most arrogant people I ever met went to class in that building. Dr. Smiriti Wagle DO, tops the list of physicians I will avoid and recommend the same to others. Dr Wagle is very caring, an expert in her field and makes you feel like a real person, not just a number getting through her patients quickly. Her warmth and kind personality along with her knowledge in neurology is comforting because you really feel you are in good hands. She’s been our doctor for 5 years and have been grateful for her diligent care for my husband. We are so very lucky to have her as our neurologist! We love you Dr Wagle!
