I really love their açaí. It is delicious, and the employees are always kind. A couple of weeks ago, they even called to let me know they were out of bananas and offered blueberries instead, which I really appreciated. However, today (around 2:15 p.m.) I ordered online and noticed when I got home that they were out of cocoa nibs but hadn’t let me know. I placed an order through the Smoothie King app yesterday and was charged, but when I arrived, the store was closed. I submitted feedback through the website and asked for someone to contact me, but no one ever did. I’m sure this review will include a generic response encouraging me to submit feedback on the same site I submitted feedback yesterday. They should put update the hours on the website and in their sign if they are going to be closed when they say they are open.
I want to love this Smoothie King, but every visit feels like I’m signing up for disappointment with a side of sadness. On multiple occasions, my smoothies have been nothing more than flavored water—if I wanted a $10 cup of Gatorade, I’d go to a gas station. Açaí and double almond butter should be thick and rich, not thinner than a hotel lobby coffee. Service? A disaster.
