This smoothie King started off good, and quickly went downhill. This store pretty much opens up whenever they want, despite the listed hours. They open at 7 AM, I arrive there at 7:30 AM, and am asked to wait 15 more minutes in drive-thru. It was actually about a 20 minute wait. On a different occasion, I arrived at 7:45 AM, and they said they were closed for the day. It seems the store is ran by a bunch of teens, and I’ve never seen a manager on site. When Smoothie King first opened, I was so excited to have a local one within the community. It gave me a healthy alternative to a lot of the junk that’s around but I’ve quickly discovered the customer service that is usually complimentary with a purchase was significantly lacking here. I went to the SK in Chicago Heights, IL several times and there is always a long wait, limited ingredients but the smoothies were fine. I get it everyone is short staffed. Today, I am here and again they don’t have all the ingredients for the smoothies I want so I substitute. The cashier is there alone taking orders and making smoothies. Due to not having all ingredients after a 15 minute wait the employee says the smoothies are not coming out right due to not having the right ingredients. My last 3 I purchased from them were poorly blended all had large chunks of ice and fruit couldn't use a straw, 3 strikes your out. Back to Tinley Park Smoothie King always blended well only problem I've ever had with this location they were out of something.
Mobile order placed at 2:10pm. Arrived at SK about 2:15... location is a mobile order only location (or so we've been told). Received order at 2:46pm. No I apologize for your wait or anything. Couldn't give 0 stars... Matteson location
