I’m from the south and after a day on the river we found this tiny hole in the wall and I was totally blown away by how amazing this place was. My husband got ribs and wish I had gotten them as well they fell right off the bone. The potato salad was amazing the Mac salad was good but uses the mini shells pasta for it and not a fan of that pasta but the flavor was really good. We live 2.5 hours or so from this place so my husband is gonna have to take me just for dinner at least once a month.. great job
I’ve had BBQ from Texas to Kansas to the Carolina’s. Eaten at the highest rated champion smokers in the nation and this place definitely rivals them all!!! We had the chicken, pulled pork and some phenomenal fall off the bone ribs!! Highly recommend the potato and Mac salad! The gentleman that runs the place is very hospitable and eager to serve. I highly recommend this “hole in the wall” place, you will not be disappointed.

Stopped at Smokey Pit in Auburn on the way to Truckee. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender with some smoke, but they needed a better BBQ or hot sauce. Hot link tasted boiled, brisket was nothing special, and the potato salad was bland. Bread was the best thing there. With all the high reviews I expected more. Pretty let down overall.
