I had a granite 1340 lathe it was very accurate very good at threads
My 1324 I Max is my third Smithy. I just kept upgrading till this machine. The I Max has paid for itself many times. I have made parts for restaurants, race cars, motorcycles, firearms andspecial tools for many projects. It fits in my small shop with excellent results. I’m self taught and will have This Smithy for a long time.
Got to visit the Smithy shop today while I was in the Detroit area. These great products are backed up by people who really care about their customers. Thank you very much @smithy
If you have limited space and need to do precision work Smithy is what you want.
I have had the Smithy Midas 1220 for 13 years and all I have done is squirt some oil on it and run it hard. Its been a handy machine to have.
I have been a Machinist/Tool maker and even some years as a mold maker in my 13 years in the machinist trade. I have been looking to purchase my own lathe and milling machine for personal projects and side work for many years. My Smithy Granite max 1324 was the perfect fit for what I needed. I absolutely love my machine!
Purchased the 1336 lathe. It was a learning curve getting it going for my applications, but I am now up and running for the past year, and really like the machine. Service and support has been great. Looking forward to getting a mill soon.
I bought one machine from smithy. A cnc lathe, it was absolute garbage. Horrible software, and poorly retrofitted,I got zero to little support. After suggesting they take it back and refund my money the ceased communication. I’m out 9k I will never buy smithy tools again, I suggest you buy elsewhere.
