Worst experience ever. If you are going to have surgery, don’t expect to have your pain monitored. I was betrayed and lied to by the doctor and the clinic itself. I was so excited to have this surgery. Then now I’m like why did I believe this guy? I feel he is very discriminated towards people that are on other meds. I’m saddened by the treatment I received. I am quite pleased with the outcome of the robotic laparoscopic hernia surgery as the recovery was far quicker and easier than I had imagined. The first day after surgery, I experienced only minor pain at the hernia site and I was able to run "7" miles with little difficulty. Also, I did not fill the prescription for pain meds. The entire Kadlec team was impressive with caring knowledgeable staff members at every level. Many thanks to Dr. Smith, Karen the robot, and others on the surgical team. Outstanding job!
I also had a small lipoma removed and the incision was well made but when it came to pain medicines during the most painful parts of the procedure and right after I was only given 10 norco for pain. I did not want to complain but that wasn't very comfortable for me. I hope he will be more conscious of this in the future.
RE: Dr. Phillip Smith - I had a small lipoma removed. Excellent doctor. Very patient and listens! Dr. Smith was very conscious of sanitary procedures, safety, and patient comfort. He was passionate about the quality of his work. It was a pleasure to have been this doctors patient.
