RecommendedSmith Animal Hospital is by far our favorite clinic! We have seen both Drs. Smith and Stowers and you can’t go wrong with either. I usually see Dr. Stowers and I appreciate her thoroughness. She is so calm and I have complete confidence in her care of my two bullies!
Dr. Smith and his staff are amazing! So incredibly caring and helpful. They have gone above and beyond to help care for my pet and I am so thankful for them!
Dr. Smith is fantastic! Very knowledgeable, helpful and willing to work with you. He’s been there to help us whenever we have had an accident happen and especially when we had nowhere else to turn. His prices are very reasonable also. He is one of the few vets around who will perform orthopedic surgery and doesn’t charge an outrageous fee.
Dr. Smith is great. I recently took my cat to him and so glad I did. This was my first visit to his clinic, but this is where I will be going with all my animals. Wonderful Staff 🙂

Dr. Stowers and every single one of their staff made the passing of my elderly dog as easy as they could. We truly appreciate their sensitivity during such a difficult time. We even received a card a few days later that everyone had signed. Very professional and caring veterinary hospital.

I’ve been taking my dog, Ellie, here since I’ve had her because my Mom took her dogs here and she always said great things about the staff. I am always so pleased with the service! The staff is always so nice, patient and understanding with my dog! Services are affordable and appointments are easy to make! I called Monday afternoon and they were able to get my Ellie in on that Wednesday morning! As long as I’m in Starkville, this will be my choice of veterinarian!! Thank you Smith Animal Hospital!! ❤️
I took my mini schnauzer here to be neutered and they were so understanding about my questions and really cared for my pupper! This morning I was freaking out because he was very sick so I called and they saw him immediately. I love going somewhere where they truly care & Dr. Smith even takes the time to call, explain and reassure you that your furry family member is okay! So thankful for everyone at Smith!
