UPDATE: Do not take your kids to these dental school dropouts. since last review, we had another appointment mixup and the office closed suddenly and was seeing patients at the Wonderland mall. different ortho doc every visit. inconsistent opinions. Incompetent. should have left a long time ago. Braun office - difficult to get follow up ortho appointments scheduled. I went to smiley dental for a regular cleaning. They said my teeth are in real good shape and then told me I have to do an invasive deep gum scraping for over $1k. I tell them I just want the regular cleaning that my insurance covers. I guess they assumed I was poor and brought an application for credit to pay for the gum scraping. Insulted, I said that I have money but I’m not paying for this unnecessary procedure. It was a waste of my time. I drove 4 hours on Saturday to be seen after they sent a message confirming my appointment on Friday and they weren’t even open. So they rescheduled for Monday. Showed up on Monday and they had me waiting for nothing saying “your insurance required authorization” would’ve been nice to know beforehand.

Been going to this location for last 5 years and used to love it; recommended to so many other families too. But recently it has gone through ownership and management changes and you can tell the difference. Always long wait. Also, it has become any other money sucking enterprise. Did not know I had to be ready for charges I was never told. I will avoid at any cost.
