Lara Smedley is in charge of our organization's first fundraising and community events. We've just finished the first of three and I could not be more happy about how professional and organized each step of the process has been. We know exactly what's going on and who is responsible. Lara also taught us the ins and outs of event planning and fundraising, helping us understand how to make the most of our time and resources. Additionally, she is a pleasure to work with and thoughtful about all details of the event.
My nonprofit contracted with Lara 18 months ago to provide event services for our food focused fundraising event. Lara overcame obstacle after obstacle. Tough stuff like COVID concerns, a venue change, loss of leadership at the nonprofit, competitors backing out at the last minute, a storm on event night causing competitor tents to blow away as we were setting up, and power outages.
