TLDR: if you can avoid renting a property from them in any way, do so. Unfortunately I have to modify my review, as our situation with SMC has become very disappointing. First, they changed the terms of our lease to no longer allow us to add tenants to our lease: we can now only add subtenants, who aren't allowed to pay bills, make maintenance requests, or maintain the lease in the absence of the original tenants.
