I have been there three separate times over the past six months to get steroid epidurals for sciatica. From the front desk to the operating room, everyone is wonderful. The place is always bustling and busy, but everyone has a smile on their face and treat you like you’re the only person there that needs their attention. If you were in need of outpatient surgery, I would highly recommend Smart Care, Palm Harbor.
Sorry, but you need more seating in the lobby. If average wait to be called for procedure is 1 hour to 2 hours you need to provide seating especially when most out patient surgeries are for knees and hips. no seats. I asked if I could sit in car and was told no. 2 hr wait. (might have been bad day) but appts are spread 30 min apart and with no coffee and 2pm call up....yikes wasn't happy. but thank God they do a good job on the body.
Excellent care for my cervical injections from the entire staff at Smartcare Palm Harbor. The check in was easy and efficient. The nursing staff and anesthesiologist taking care of me pre and post surgery were absolutely amazing. Dr. Zahrai is an incredible surgeon. I will be going back for two more procedures. He is caring and wants to find the best treatment to fix my neck issues. . I highly recommend Dr. Zahrai and the team at Smartcare.
Our biggest concern was the post-operative care. My family member had a mild adverse reaction to anesthesia—she became cold, pale, clammy, and lightly sweating, with a drop in blood pressure. Her medical records note a history of anesthesia-related issues tied to potassium levels. At home, when her potassium levels drop, she recovers with protein and Gatorade.
