Proceed with caution. I hired SS Construction, AKA boringcontractors.com, to perform a simple boring job—run a line, about 50 feet, from a telephone pole to my home. We agreed on the price, I sent a deposit of several thousand dollars, and expected a straightforward process. They told me a Dig Test was needed would be done to locate underground utilities. I recommended this company to a high-end client of mine. Tim Cohn was the gentleman that was supposed to take care of him. To make a long story short, he came out and produced a game plan to bore underneath his neighbor's driveway. Unfortunately, they did not call in an 811 utility locate prior to their arrival and could not do the work. Tim decided to keep the entire down payment due to their mistake to pay for the crew's trip. The client and I pleaded his case many times and so did I to no prevail.
