We bought our house in Oak Park about four years ago and the electrical was mostly original from the 1960s which meant a lot of things weren't up to current code. We had been meaning to get it all looked at but kept pushing it off until breakers started tripping every time we ran the microwave and toaster at the same time which got old really fast. Eltrix sent out a really good electrician to handle some work we needed done around the house. had a couple outlets that were sparking when you plugged stuff in which was honestly freaking me out. the guy was thorough, checked every outlet in that room and found a couple more with issues we didnt even know about. fixed everything in one visit and swapped out an old breaker he said was a potential fire hazard. prices were fair and the electrical work was done right.
had a scary sparking outlet in the guest bedroom that smelled like burning plastic so i called eltrix right away. they prioritized the call and sent someone over within two hours. fixed the melted wire and replaced the receptacle super fast. glad i didn't wait on this one, could have been bad. appreciated how quick they were to respond, definitely keeping their number for future stuff.
Called eltrix for a commercial job at our shop needed to move some machinery hookups they show up on time and got the work done before we opened so it didn't disrupt business solid crew who knows what they are doing will use them for future maintenance
