My son is a complex case, with feeding and swallowing issues. He is medically and developmentally complex. Finding a feeding and swallowing specialist took some time, as they all have long waits for new patient appointments. Small Steps has been fantastic, from the initial evaluation through weekly therapy. I’ve been bringing my 3 year old son here for about a month now, and we have been very happy so far! Our clinician is Sarah and she’s been wonderful! She’s very knowledgeable about… pretty much anything haha. She interacts very well with my son, and he looks forward to going and seeing her. Though this place was out of network, it was convenient to our home. I completed the lengthy health history and responded to a personal request from a therapist to describe the condition for which I was bringing my child in. I waited months for an appointment, and on the day of our initial evaluation, was told the problem was not heard, and the provider discussed this with me in the waiting room in front of my child and another family and provided no clinical expertise on what the practice could offer in our case. My son has been an ongoing patient at small steps for the last few years. The facility is always clean and well taken care of. The level of care from the SST team has been nothing short of world class. Friendly staff especially the owner Ken. Great guy! Highly recommend.
I can not say enough good things about small steps therapy! My son has been attending for over a year now for Speech and Feeding Services and his clinician has always gone above and beyond for him while keeping therapy fun and exciting.
