The Small Business Development Center is the reason I am a small business owner. From the very beginning stages of creating a business plan and setting up my LLC, through attending Marketing Solutions and Contract Readiness classes and working with Bailey Brouillard to become a certified WBE (woman-owned business enterprise) in both Erie County and New York State, they've supported me every step of the way during my time as an entrepreneur. Bailey helped our bakery immensely as we went through the certification process to achieve Erie County WBE status. She gave us a clear understanding of the process, walked us through creating and completing our application, and thoughtfully navigated the challenges presented by our worker-owned cooperative status. Her communication was thorough and prompt whenever we had questions, and her encouragement really got us through this complicated process feeling confident!
I really don't know where I would be without the SBDC. Their incredible, kind and knowledgeable staff have guided me through the growth of my business with free coaching, website development and becoming WBE certified for the city, county and state. The SBDC has so many programs and opportunities for accessible support for small business owners that help you at every level of your business journey. Highly Recommend!
Bailey Brouillard and the entire Small Business Development Center staff genuinely care about the success of local businesses. They inspire small businesses to grow within our community and provide clear guidance when we are unsure of the next step or who to contact. Their support, knowledge, and dedication are truly appreciated. If you are looking to start a business or started but struggling to find answers to difficult questions, the SBDC is the one stop shop for you. Call them and make an appointment.
incredible experience working with both Marilyn and Bailey. They both expedited the growth of my business. I am grateful for them both and everyone in the Small Business Development Center!
