UF saved our Patches’ life! ❤️ Our Patches had an almost complete bladder blockage. We were told by a veterinary internist that he needed to be seen immediately at either an emergency vet hospital or a university. We chose the University of Florida, since they were closest to our location. They provided the best care - they figured out the problem, performed the bladder surgery (which, thanks to Patches’ unique condition, was not a typical surgery), and kept us informed over the next several days. Was hoping to make my law school reunion this coming weekend, but unfortunately God had different plans. I did get back up to UF but it was for my dog Daisy; she suffered a right hip dislocation while I was in New York. She received excellent care at UF's Small Animal hospital---my deepest gratitude to Dr. Veronica Perez, Elizabeth Bernate, and the entire ER team. 🧡
The ER for small animals was ok. We were there for 3 1/2!! We didn't get to see the veterinarian??????? Why????? Some girl just handed off our pet and walked off! As I was trying to ask a question! That was very rude! We were told that pain meds would be prescribed, but no, we didn't get any! Why should anyone pay $200 just to walk in and NOT SEE THE VET???????? Ridiculous
Waited for over 2 hours didnt hear from them until we went up to desk to find out what was going on then to find out they still did not have him in a room yet and really haven't done anything to him we decided to take him home then had to wait almost another hour for them to bring him out and then got a bill from them for over $500 for doing almost nothing
