We never would have needed UF if Pet Paradise in Gainesville on Newberry road didn't almost kill my dog....but thank God the staff at UF jumped into action and saved him. They got right to the point and gave us options based off what we could afford and gave us hope. Thankfully Rocco our dog made a recovery all due to UF small animal hospital.
Their caring and capable staff expertly handled our cat Dora's complicated medical issues. She could not have been in better hands.
Wish I had been warned they do not do emergency cesarean sections. Unfortunately, one of my pups didn't make it because they sent us to university of Florida 40 minutes away. One pup did make it. But, I felt if we'd went to u of f first we'd have both pups.
They saved our dog from a bad episode of ITP. He spent a week hospitalized in UF small animal hospital. His assigned student Emma was an angel throughout this difficult process, calling us constantly with updates and taking the time to care for our shy boy who ended up bonding with her. Couldn’t be more grateful for the emergency and internal medicine team at UF!
