I had an incredible experience with my makeup artist (Amy) and hair stylist (Sarah). From my initial consultation to the day of my wedding they were a pleasure to work with and did an awesome job. It was also a very collaborative process which I appreciated. I made some changes after the initial consult and they both delivered on the day of, completely nailing my vision. There are a couple of reasons why I would not recommend SM Hair & Makeup to other brides in the future. None of which are in regard to the actual hair and makeup which were done by the artists, everyone did beautiful work and all of my girls looked beautiful. Despite this, I would not recommend them. My lead makeup artist was Autumn, she called me at the time of our intended makeup trial stating she would now be an hour late, so I had to wait around for an hour as I was already onsite. My hair and make up held up BEAUTIFULLY after dancing all night. I got exactly the look I wanted - breezy and natural. They did my husband’s hair too and it looked incredible. Autumn did my make up and really walked me through skincare between the trial and day of to help my make up last longer and sit better. I absolutely recommend SM Hair + Makeup to anyone getting married! I only went through them for my makeup, but I regret not using them for hair as well. Kyla was my makeup artist and she was seriously the best! I could not recommend anyone better, she made me feel perfect on my wedding day.

Lovely makeup but not dependable. S & M showed up an hour late on my wedding day, and we missed 30 minutes' worth of photos because of their late arrival. I rescheduled with them three times as I was a bride affected by the pandemic… holding onto them was a mistake. My wedding day finally came around, and they arrived an hour late. Unorganized planning as well, even though they had the names of the wedding party and knew each person's role. I would not suggest S & M Makeup to anyone.
