ZERO STARS Just finished reading all the reviews on this gun shop. So Marvin is the jerk with the hearing aid? Stopped in this afternoon looking to buy some 556 ammo, asked this loud mouth if he had any, and he said "I DON'T HANDLE STOLEN AMMO, IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR 556 IN AT THE WRONG PLACE CAUSE I DON'T HANDLE STOLEN AMMO". S-M Gum Slop loony ticky !!!~~~WHAT?!?!?!_!GOOD GRIEF!! ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! Worse then poor! FILTHY AWFUL! Bought a sidearm at s&m and NICS was hung up and delayed. These guys decided to hold it past the 3 day waiting period, I thought it to be a bit odd. Don't Do It If awful service, misinformation and 2nd amendment fanaticism is what you're looking for go no further. On the other hand, if you're just trying to buy a gun you should stay away. During my visit today I watched them give patently false information and belittle a customer to the point where they walked out of the store, leaving the buffoon behind the counter was in mid-bluster. There's a palpable feeling of crazy in this place. Avoid if at all possible.
Worse shop in town!! Well that is one gun store that will never see me step-in again. The guy was rude from the get-go, annoyed that the gun I was interested in was in the back, didn't want to tell me which model it was and then when I asked the price he quoted $300 over market value ($100 over MSRP). He really seemed annoyed when I asked him if he had quoted me the right price. I'm all for supporting my local dealer, but that attitude, arrogance & flat out price gouging is totally unacceptable. Going the "Distance" I was traveling through town and I stopped in S-M Guns a while ago and was blown away by the prices and friendly staff. I finally went back for what I was looking for. Of course it was gone (due to the awesome price) it was about an hour till close time and they didn't seem like they were in a hurry to get me out of there. SM GUN SHOP This store is small, but has a fair amount of guns. If the staff wearnt such pricks, they could sell alot more of them. Marvin, the old def owner, is naive and a know it all. Its hard to talk to that dumbass without wanting to yell. The other employee who has dark short hair and sits behind the counter, thinks he is a hard ass. Only one guy there with a slimmer build knows a little about guns and actually has an IQ. These other hillbilly white trash retards lost my bissuiness for good.
Very Helpful & Accurate Don't get mad at Marvin for being opinionated, he knows his business. If you have questions, ask. You'll get direct answers from the pro's behind the counter. If you're a tire kicker or just stopped by to BS, please consider that they are very busy and do not show up to shoot the bull.. If you need somthing and they don't stock it, they'll get it for you quickly. Staff are discourteous and rude Went to buy a gun on a Saturday. Time was 1635 and they refused to sell me the gun due to the fact they closed at 1700 and "they don't get paid to work past quitting time". Was told to go to another gun shop to buy a gun then. No offer to let me pay for it and pick it up the following week. When I asked to look at the gun at 1630 he could have said then they wouldn't be able to do the paperwork that day. S-M Gun Shop Large selection of new firearms. Friendly and professional staff. Very knowledgeable. Reasonable pricing. Does not carry many accessories. Good selection of optics and knives.
