Dr. Slusky knows his field and explained thoroughly my eye health and prescription changes. He took the time to ensure my new glasses would enable me to "see the world" without strain or blurriness. Having just moved from NY 4 weeks ago where optometrists were from top schools and "experts", Dr. Slusky was the most knowledgeable, social, caring and efficient optometrist I have ever seen. No hesitation in recommending him to all so dont be misled by poor reviews.

I had a very bad experience with him. He diagnosed me with a disease that was very new to me. He referred me to one of his colleagues. Later, I decided to go to an ophthalmologist that I knew and I trusted. I learned that my eyes are healthy. This happened again for one of my friends who went to Dr. Slusky. After being evaluated with another doctor, he learned that there is nothing wrong with his eyes.

I’ve gone to Dr Slusky for over 5 years and he’s great. I have sensitive eyes to minor vision changes and glass/contact script tolerances. The Dr and vision area in general really seem to care and offer top notch service.

I have been a patient of Dr. Slusky's for more than a decade. He is professional, caring, and respectful of people's time. He goes out of his way to make sure you are satisfied with your contact fittings and explains options fully.

I went to Costco optical in Schaumburg; It’s a fast paced environment and sometimes they are swamped with patients BUT this is to be expected nowadays; Doctor is quick but knowledgeable all necessary tests are done/ ordered during the appointment

Worst doctor I have ever seen. I had some question before the eye exam and he doesn't want to explain anything and showed tonnes of attitude. He asked to read the paperwork if I have any questions. After stating my dissatisfaction about the result, he mentioned that I should have gone for dilation which is an additional cost. I am wearing glasses for the past 20 years and I definitely know how eye exams go and how worse he did. I am getting an appointment with a different optometrist. Stay away!

Okay doctor if you ever can get in to see him. Most of the time your calls will never be answered and your messages will not be returned. I called with a concern to see if I could get in but nobody answered so I left a message... nobody called me back and it has been almost a week.

I was just telling a coworker about Dr. Michael Slusky as she is searching for a good eye care doctor. Dr. Slusky is the only doctor I trust my families eyes with. He is that doctor who absolutely loves his profession to a degree hard to find. His passion is profound! We have moved away from Chicago, but always try to plan to see him when we are back in the area. He is worthy of many more stars than 5

Dr. Slusky is very attentive and thorough, with a great 'bedside manner', explaining what he is doing and why at every visit. He is great with kids and both my children, ages 11 and 14. If he sees something that needs a specialist, he will compose a detail letter and give you a referral during the visit. I recently went to an 'in-network' provider with my insurance and had an awful experience. Dr. Slusky is definitely worth going out of network for!
