Slow ride is a family! Food is good especially breakfast!!!! Chorizo an eggs my favorite...some of my favorite bartenders in Lawrence!!!

We love Slow Ride! Great people --great music and fun times. Is it a perfect cookie cutter chain type place ?..... Hell no ! Part of the charm. Live local, buy local from a locally owned family business. Sometimes that means you need to be a little patient with new waitstaff and other staff turnover. It's not easy to find and train good employee's and sometimes even harder to find good customers. I'm sorry some folks have had a bad experience and hope they give you another chance. I absolutely love this bar. Especially on Sundays when they have a band when it's nice and warm outside. However, they need to get better quality waitstaff. Our waitress yesterday was totally clueless. Because we had gone to the bar to get our first round before we sat down, she never ever asked us again if we wanted more drinks. This meant we had to get up every time we wanted a beverage and go to the bar ourselves!!!! She evidently thought she was there to bring food and food only???? This is not a one time disappointment.... read more
