I wish I had known that their claim to be a "BCBS preferred provider" doesn't necessarily mean all that much in terms of insurance coverage. Unfortunately, I was naive and didn't question why the at-home sleep study cost $750 on my BCBS plan, and SleepSomatics didn't offer up that information beforehand, either. They're fine on initial care, but if you require follow up, they'll tell you " we're not scheduling those appointments right now". For over two years, they'll tell you this. Do yourself a favor and find a provider that's willing to follow you throughout the entire course of your treatment, rather than abandoning you midway.
A friend had a sleep study done with SleepSomatics and shared that her entire experience was flawless recommending I call them to get testing done for sleep apnea. From the very first call I had with their office staff, and during every call and appointment thereafter, everything was done efficiently and friendly. I can’t say enough great things about the staff at SleepSomatics! My mother was diagnosed with sleep apnea and had a horrible first experience with a different clinic in south Austin. The staff at SleepSomatics were amazing at getting her a second opinion, comforting her while also explaining what to expect. Lisa was so helpful getting us in.
