I would give the service 10 stars if I could! Our stay at Sleep Inn Bryson City was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, Monica and Shannon at the front desk set the tone for the entire experience—warm, professional, and truly dedicated to making our stay seamless. The huge negative about this place is the fact that the General manager allocates the entire lower level to mostly contractors and everyone else gets to drag their luggage upstairs. That should not be the case when everyone is paying. These older hotels need elevators. You put those contractors on the lower level, those able bodied probably mostly young but the old people have the luxury of dragging all of their belongings up the stairs. Needed a weekend getaway so we came to Bryson City to ride the train. We stayed at the Sleep Inn in Bryson City. George checked us in upon our arrival on Friday afternoon. He was very pleasant and helpful. We asked if he could recommend some place to eat. He gave us several options on where to eat and he even gave us a map so we could find them. ***DO NOT STAY HERE!!!**** Was asked to leave and tried to charge me a $50 smoking fee when nobody smoked in the room. Very unprofessional and uncompromising! Rooms small and not worth the trouble. The manager is extremely rude please stay anywhere but here!
