Music was good. Crowd was very mature. Chicken & yams was good but baked mac & cheese was not what I known it to be in past visits. But the bigger problem is, there was absolutely no where for my friend & I to sit (or stand) to eat once we got our food. We actually had to stand holding our plate & try to eat. It was very uncomfortable. Also hot. We (along with other patrons) had to step outside to cool off. Good vibe. Nice and chill spot for professional and down to earth black folks. Not too many places like this in Boston. Love it!

I ALWAYS have a good time at Slade's. Whether by myself or the company I keep, the good is always the bomb. Service is usually tip top too. I'm here at least once a month. I cant leave without a takeout order for kids. Our favorite, the SAMPLERS! When you want some of everything. Today my newly minted 18 year old came in and ordered and paid for his own sampler- fried okra, chicken livers, buffalo wings, catfish nuggets (y'all). Makes momma proud.
Good food. Good Music. Great atmosphere. Excellent service. I love going here whenever I am in Boston!
As a regular customer for years, I still eat, drink, dance and Host Adult Urban Social Events at Slade's. It is a much needed staple in the community. Congratulations to the new management team and their willingness to keep what is working and steadily making improvements where necessary.
