Slab is a great place for casual dining and the food is great. The outdoor music series has been a lot of fun this summer. A little loud if you're at the table directly in front of the stage but still...better than average bands that aren't your run of the mill bar bands that seem to be everywhere else. I only have one criticism; ditch the wood sporks please. Ever try using one? They pull the lips off your face.
The pizza was amazing. The live music was great, even the water was tasty. Loved it.
The food was good but the service was marginal, waiter only came buy every 20 minutes and not acceptable.
Slab is one of the few places I would ever order a Sicilian slice. It's amazing, and everything else I've had has been great too. They constantly rotate stuff on the menu so it never gets boring, but I usually go for the hand slab anyways. Beer selection is usually great as well, but can be a bit pricy sometimes.
First visit so my husband and I both ordered a salad (which was fresh and delicious) and a single Sicilian slice. I have never been more disappointed! It was just heavy dough, very little sauce and cheese. I had to struggle thru it until I gave up as it wasn't worth it. I will return and order the thin crust and hope for the best.
One of the biggest baddest slices of pie on the planet. Do yourself a favor and snag a hand slab at the best pizza place in Portland.
We have heard great things about Slab. We went this past Saturday night and sat at the bar. We had excellent service. We had never been and had questions about the menu and how to order the pizza. The bartender was very friendly, helpful and the pizza and beer were so good. We will def be going can and try some of the other menue items. Great place and great food and atmosphere. Parking is easy to.
First time at Slab, we had a great evening!! The drinks were great, the service was very good and OMG the pizza is phenomenal! Can't wait to go again!!😃
