Recurring misfiring problem on 2005 Ford Expedition. Replaced all plugs and power packs TWICE in past 2 years and individual cylinders a few times. (Used Motorcraft plugs and Denso power packs and cleaned the engine with B-60). Jay did the diagnostic but also gave good advice. He said that this age engine needs the OEM sparks and power packs from the dealer... more expensive, but the older engines are fussy. I bought a remanufacturer transmission them and it come in with a defective part and the didn't want to honor any kind of warranty, so this is the response I get from Susan the owner. Mark, Bring the transmission back to the shop and I'll replace the linkage rod for you It's gonna take a hour or more and when I talked to our supplier and sent them the picture that you had sent to JJ they said absolutely no way that they could have done that because once again you can look at the picture and tell that someone has had a wrench... read more
We've had an interesting experience here. My suv had a rear differential issue so we brought it to S&L Transmission. The first time We brought it home and it drove for a little bit then we started having issues again so we took it back because the work was under warranty. My husband also got our other car looked at and when it was fixed he went to pick it up and one of the mechanics had taken it home for the night. My husband waited half an hour for him to get back. S&L did it again! Best prices in Sanford hands down. Trust me, nobody does it better. Other shops overcharge!, but not S&L. They offer fair prices, do great work, and treat you right. The owner of S & L transmission is genuine and honest. Jay jay is a good fella as well! I had to have a transmission put in my older Trail Blazer. I was running a little short to order the transmission , not only did they o have my car towed from the house , they ordered the transmission before I gave them a penny.
