Skyline Apartments in Thornton...should be condemned. The leasing agents totally screwed up my move in. I ended up in a different apartment than what I put my deposit on. The one I got had urine soaked carpets, no working dishwasher or stove upon move in. The bathroom light strobes. I got a boiler room instead or storage closet. The floor has flooded twice from dirty sewage pipes leaking though the walls. Nasty black water filled up my bathroom sink. I get bit by spiders and beetles. Horrible customer service. The apartment complexes do not follow up and it appears corporate condones this behavior because corporate doesn't return calls either. I have never in my life been treated so poorly by an apartment manager. The leasing managing specifically stated "it is not our job to educate new renters." I am not sure what a leasing agent's job is if it is not to help renters. DO NOT RENT SKYLINE unless you want to deal with hostile management, horrible customer service and sub par living conditions. Our corporate office and the on-site office have both talked with this resident on several occasions and to my knowledge this situation has been resolved. Our on-site manager has reached out and left a voice mail to make sure that everything is good now but has not received a call back. Our company prides itself on making our residents happy, treating them with respect and making sure they are happy in their new home.
Do not rent here. I lived here just shy of 5 years, and they charged me over $1000. Never in my renting history have I not gotten most of my deposit back, we are very clean, and spent hours scrubbing this down. Over 400$ in carpet charges, when they were going to replace it anyways (and we even had it professionally cleaned), the appliances were ancient, and they charged me out the nose for broken plastic pieces, even their blinds that were already patched, they charged me for. After reviewing your file, move-out paper work and the pictures that were taken of your unit, they show little effort in leaving the unit the way it was when you took possession. There were holes in the walls, frayed carpet, scratches on doors, broken blinds and little effort put into the cleaning.
