RecommendedProper American Diner, no frills good food and excellent staff
We were ending our stay in NYC and looking for something local to enjoy for a late breakfast and came across this place... The food was amazing, service was quick, and the waiter was awesome! Glad I could end my trip with an amazing NY bagel, and their sausage is unlike anything I have had... Definitely a must next time I'm up there!
My girlfriend works across rhe street from Skylight. Every Sunday, we go there for dinner. Thier swiss burgers are superb! It is the best burgers that I have ever had. Their prices are excellent for Manhattan. Mark
Found this gem while waiting for bus to go home. Virginia ham and cheese Chicken cheese steak w/fries Food was excellent Staff very friendly and welcoming

Support the Skylight Diner even if only with a kind word. They have a FB page. Being gay is not a lifestyle. It is not a choice. It is who we are. It is not contrary to the dignity of humanity. Religion is a choice and a lifestyle. However, if properly practiced, it professes charity and tolerance. I see neither here. Go eat somewhere else. Sooner or later someone will not let you stay in their inn. And not let you sleep in their stable.
It is very sad that in this day and age a diner does not have any non-dairy alternatives to offer their customers. Sadly, I live just a few blocks away and will not go back. Almond and soy milk alternatives are quite common in NYC. Even my corner deli can offer it. :-(

Served by the lovely Jose the food was amazing lots of refills of coffee was so full didn’t eat again till 8 hrs later �
