This is our favorite place to go on HHI, a must-stop for the past 10+ yrs. My husband always gets the shrimp and grits, I love the crab cakes; but it's the atmosphere outside that makes it a winner! If you go early enough (before 6) for dinner your wait won't be too bad if at all. We bring the kids, because there is plenty to keep them entertained. And they love to explore the dock after dinner too :)

I would love to have been able to sit outside, but it's been raining. Nevertheless, the food was wonderful. Dinner one night and Sunday brunch the next day. The buffet was wonderful...the French Toast Casserole was yummy!

We all liked the food we ordered here! The drinks were very good!! Service was excellent despite being busy. We ordered the fried donuts sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar for dessert. They came out hot and delicious. Good experience all around.

My family and I went here on Thursday evening for a birthday celebration, I ordered the Lowcountry Boil; the shrimp was way over cooked, the potatoes tasted like they were reheated. Several other customers were also complaining about the food.

Great atmosphere, great food. Not "fast-food" seafood like some other places, this was top notch! Can't wait to go back! Highly recommend! (as others have said, there is a wait, but our kids loved the game/picnic area & time flew by!)

The Boathouse is the best. We always bring our guests down there. They always want to return. Never had a bad meal or experience here. My personal favorite is the stuffed shrimp :)

Love this place. It is a must visit each time we vacation on HHI. My family had a variety of seafood but especially liked the sushi and crab legs. My husband who is not a seafood lover had a blackened steak and it was fantastic! Best food on the island! Luis was a great server also - efficient and quick!
