This was a last minute decision. There was a great deck by the water and live music on Fridays. The musician played guitar, sang, harmonica and drums with his feet all at the same time. My wife and I had the shrimp boil. It was delicious and the cajun seasoning is not spicy at all, as I have had boils at other places that set your mouth on fire. I'm sad we discovered this place on the last night of vacation because we would've went several times.
If you're coming to Hilton head and want a great view with great seafood... visit Skull Creek. It's one of our favorite places and while yes, there's almost always a wait, it's well worth it. I've never disliked anything I ordered and the service once you're seated is usually pretty good! My favorite place on the island.
We were at Skull Creek Boathouse yesterday with family the service was awesome, food was fantastic, the ambience was beautiful and the sunset was amazing.
Favorite place to eat on the island. Sit outside on the water and enjoy the food and the weather. Always a great day at skull Creek.
We ate there yesterday on our way off the Island and had a hard time finding it but so glad we did because it was a great experience sitting out under the trees and on the water way.....the best seafood chowder I've had and bought a quart to bring home....the crab and shrimp quasadilas were very good and fish was fresh and moist cooked to perfection....wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the great atmosphere.....we will be back!

Every time I come down to Bluffton, I visit this place at least 2x. I never get sick of the food, view, atmosphere, music and people. The best part is it's dog friendly (patio only of course). The boathouse had me at hello.
Boathouse is one of my favorite restaurants. My daughter (visiting from Iowa) and I stopped for a quick bite. We decided to share an appetizer. You could tell the waiter wasn't happy with this. Didn't offer refills for our drinks. I left a very generous tip. When I told him that no change was needed his attitude changed considerably. I would never stiff the waiters.
