Rented a 2 bedroom apartment from 2012 to 2013 from Skillern Investments. Any requests for service were performed in a timely manner. Having never rented an apartment before, I was curious what portion of our deposit we would receive back. We left the unit cleaned and in good shape and received 100% back. Good first rental experience and I would go back.

I was walked through one of these properties and really liked it. I proceeded to discuss with him how I have a service animal and his demeanor immediately changed from helpful and salesman like to accusitory and rude. I explained how my animal is well trained and necessary for my well being but he still didn't seem to care. He only told me about the "very large cleaning deposit" I would be required to put down if approved. I then emailed him the next day to obtain a renters application and never heard back. SLUMLORD! we rented from this landlord for almost 8 years with no problems. We receive one complaint from our neighbor that the Tv was too loud in the garage and the landlord gives us a first and last warning. When my husband contacted the landlord to talk about this, the landlord was disrespectful and rude. We deceided to find another home. This landlord lied to potential new landlords, saying that we paid our rent late and that he gave us a 60 day notice. Both are lies. We never receieved a notice. Our rent was always paid... read more
