Fantastic. Chance of a lifetime for my wife to have her photo taken outside SK's house; she has been a huge fan for many years. Stu is so knowledgeable and makes the whole tour come alive with his anecdotes. Good luck for the future.
My sister suggested this tour hoping that it would be a highlight of my trip to Maine from North Carolina. We were in Ellsworth area and it was only a 30 minute drive to where the tour van picked us up. Stu, our guide, was absolutely fantastic and made the difference with all his stories about the King family, the places where some of the movies were taken and just really entertaining! Loved the tour and our guide, Stu! As a friend of SK, he had a lot of background stories about my favorite author and insight as to how many of SK's books were inspired. I was so excited to see SK's actual home and even more excited when Stu said sometimes SK will come out to greet the van! Unfortunately SK wasn't home but the thrill was still the same. If you are a fan you need to do this tour!
My husband is a total King fan, I am a King admirer. Didn't know what to expect when we booked the tour, but it turned out to be a major highlight of our vacation in Maine. Stu Tinker is smart and charming and funny, and knows EVERYTHING about King-related history in Bangor, as well as history of the town itself. We were picked up at our hotel and enjoyed three hours of a comfortable ride into "Derry", the land of King. We did this tour a few days ago as a family - including our dog! Stu was a wonderful tour guide and we all had a blast. It was nice to hear his perspective on Bangor/Derry history and hear anecdotes about SK's life. Thank you!!
My friend & I did the tour a few weeks ago. Stu was great the tour was informative and he even went over the time. Stu made us feel right at home & even offered to take pictures of us! I highly recommend this to anyone who is an SK fan or who just wants to tour Bangor. We went to lunch downtown afterward and shopped @ the book store bought SKs new book. I really wish I could have met him in person but there is always next time :)
