I should have read other reviews before leaving the lot. My car was 3/4 full when I rented it. The customer service agent told me it was 3/4. I returned it 3/4 full. The contract said it was full when I rented it and they billed me $35 for 3 gallons of fuel. The car was fine. Not good. Not bad. I was able to get their national office to refund the fuel charge.
I will not use them again. Charged me for gas. I filled it full just a couple miles from Sarasota airport. Now I've received a charge of $17.15 six weeks later. Not a large sum but I know it was completely full when I dropped it off. Actually, when I picked it up and drove to Bradenton and it was already off the full mark so it was not really "full" when I picked it up either. It was a VW Jetta and it drove like the struts were missing and loud thuds on every minor bump plus lacked power to pull into traffic. I took pictures... read more
I got the car through Tom Wood Audi and the gas level was about 5/8. I took a picture and showed it to the red hair girl in the service department who worked for Sixt. She had not checked the gas level before she gave me the car. After i showed her the picture, she said she would note it on the contract that the car was at 5/8 fuel level. Before i returned the car with only about 30 miles use, i put enough gas in it to get it to the previous level.
