Funky feast – Homesick. That's what it feels like to a San Franciscan. Funky decor with clashing motifs that mysteriously harmonize, it drips with character. Fries are fresh cut and cheap during happy hour. Get a burger, fries, and a sit down meal for about $5. Good Deal! Beer on tap and spacious interior make it a good hang out spot with friends.
I like the location but everything else is below par. The sandwiches are like the "Honey Hole" (dry, uneventful, over priced) and the beer is not so good............. The price for beer and their food is too high.............I just do not get it; why people rave and rave about this place. Oh well, next they will put hanging ferns in the window and then I will get it.
Great Food, Lame Server – I have gone here for lunch a few times and thought the food was excellent! Plus the decor is awesome...fits in well with the area. I really liked the tofu burrito and there was so much I couldn't even eat it all! The service was mediocre, and I had the same server both times. He was unenthusiastic and clearly didn't want to be there. I'm not going to judge a place on one server who's having a bad day, so yes! I definitely recommend Six Arms!
OK food, AWFUL STAFF – I had the worst experience here. The service was terrible and rude. Our party of 6 waited 25 minutes for our drinks. The server approached the table and called my friend "very rude" with no cause. At that point I went to speak with the manager, who was also the barternder?? Not a good plan.... She was no help at all and put her hand in my face and said "let me talk." Very strange and terrible experience. They really need to clean house with their staff and start again!
sad but true – Cool decor but sadly the service was terrible. We stood around waiting fore someone to say something or kinda direct us but no...we ended seating ourselves. Bad service, bad food.......GREAT beer.
if you care about service -- skip this place – looked cool, service sucked. It should just open at night like most other bars and forget trying to be a restaurant, the food was lame anyway. My husband and I were ignored repeatedly by our waitress, I know a girl needs to have a smoke, flirt with boys at the bar even have a seat a table with a friend now and again but she was doing all of this instead of waiting on us the whoe time we were there. So far as a visitor we've had no good service at any of the places we've been so ... read more
relaxed evening – six arms has a great atmosphere just like all the other mcmenamins- its fun, its relaxed- a good place to get a beer and hang out with friends. i have always had good service and good food. i'm not expecting service like the met but i'm not being ignored either. and i think it smells fine!
Great food, too smoky, lots of attitude – As a McMennamin's pub, you can expect great food and beer. The location is excellent, and there's really nowhere else nearby to get a burger and beer. The place has long been way, too smoky though, and it still stinks even after the ban. And while sometimes service has been great, most of the time you get that tattooed-capitol-hill-young-cooler-than-thou attitude that's really annoying.
disappointed – not up to McMenamins usual standards: the cheeseburger was overdone and dry, service apathetic and slow. the booths are interesting and look comfortable, but we don't know, since we couldn't get one. But, as usual, the beer was good.
