I have had the privilege of being an SIU patient for 25 years. The attending Drs are excellent, & do a wonderful job teaching. Even the residents are great.
Yesterday, I had a pleasant visit with Dr. Jordan Sestak Bruce because I was so impressed with the treatment of my left leg which she administered. Before meeting with a doctor, her nurse was so friendly. Staff in the neurology department were friendly.

The doctors are generally fine and seem knowledgeable, but you absolutely should not count on their offices helping you with prescriptions or paperwork or any request you might have. If you can get anyone to talk to you, there's no way to know if they'll follow through with what they say. I'm not sure if this is a staffing issue or a competency problem, but either way, it's a nightmare to deal with. Good luck!
