Rooms smelled. They fraudulently charged $220 to our credit card. They wouldn't answer the phone when we called to discuss extra charge. Buyer beware here.
On the plus side, the rooms were clean and the property was reasonably maintained. However, the negatives include: 1) The location is poor. The immediate neighborhood consists mainly of abandoned businesses, and next-door are old shipping containers that have been converted into housing. If you have a car then it's an easy drive into town, but we did not have a car and found the location to be a negative. 2) We booked a sea-view room, and while one corner of our view was the sea, mostly we looked out on dilapidated shipping ... read more
Our stay at the Eagle Bay Inn could not have been better if I asked. My family and I were there for a month while we waited for housing and Vicki, the owner, made her hotel feel like home. There was always a warm smile on her face when we went down for breakfast. If you needed something it was always completed in a timely manner. My room was always cleaned and equipped with everything that I needed. The staff was amazing as well. A literal home away from home! Gorgeous views, great location, and an amazing host! The airport shuttle was an amazing plus, and the breakfast was available all day which was good with the few flights at different hours throughout the day coming in and flying out. The view of the ocean was amazing, and the host even made sure we got a close up of an Eagle on the way out!
