I called, as wanted them to check for bronchitis & on my wheezing. I have had lung & allergy issues for decades & have needed steroids many times before. They asked if I wanted a Covid and flu test. I said no. I wanted to be checked for bronchitis. When I got there they said I couldn’t be seen until I have a Covid test. What a waste of time!
Service was quick (in and out in under 45 minutes) and the staff was friendly. I’m sure like most urgent care centers the timing depends on how busy they are. I went in before 8:00am, they apparently open at 7am M-F for urgent care and 8:00 for general appointments. The primary down side is the same as many medical facilities in AK, they have a very limited base of insurance contracts so it’s very probable you’ll have to pay out of pocket then you’ll have to try to get a reimbursement from your insurance.
Mountainside apparently doesn't DO follow ups...so if you have paperwork related to an injury that kept you out of work just go to the E.R. Also, they made me wait 45 minutes to TELL me this... so I missed out on an experience with my kids. Mountainside sucks.
