Careful.... Went there for Emergency services. The care was sub par at best. No doctor came in to speak to us. Their lack of expediency, and proper assessment was in our lawyers opinion, a factor which resulted in death. When the hospital was addressed, it written form, we received NO communication from the hospital, Carolyn Cox, specifically never bothered to reply. We feel that the hospital is just looking out for themselves. It is a business, they are there to make money. Their lack response on so many levels only served t... read more

Stay Away Extremely unclean. I went to give blood for my pre-op visit and I got an infection in my arm. I've given blood multiple times to the Red Cross on UB's campus and never walked away with an infection! That tells you how clean they are in comparison to a college campus.

TLC I was placed on 3rd floor Gastro after surgery, since a bed was available and moved a week later to 4S. I had a private room both times and all of the nurses & aides were prompt and caring for my many needs as I recovered and healed. I was in for 12 days, which was long, but it was because the doctors were thorough and wanted to be proactive with a bit of pneumonia that I had due to laying around so long (although I walked the halls 3x a day for strength.

DON'T GO HERE!!! My friend just had a baby here & she is EXTREMELY disappointed with them. She's had multiple problems with the nurses, some of whom seem to be completely incompetent & one of whom stole something from her room one night. When she goes for her appointments, she often has to wait for HOURS before she goes in. They also messed up her disability paperwork, which is going to delay it & were supposed to call in her Rx to her pharmacy a week ago & still have not. (I'm writing this for her because her computer is br... read more

Sisters of Charity Hospital is my First choice I love this hospital. I have had horrific experiences elsewhere, but wonderful experiences here. I had an ectopic pregnancy and was rushed to surgery. I was taken care of so well through all of it and after. I went on to have my 4 children there and even worked there for almost 2 years. I recommended friends and family to go there and they all have had wonderul experiences also. Yeah at times the wait in the ER was long, but I got that every where or even worse at other hospital... read more

TERRIBLE, IRRESPONSIBLE CARE! My sister spent 12 hours sitting in ER yesterday with a severe brochial infection, pneumonia and now H1N1 Flu. She is also Type 2 diabetic. While in ER, she spent 9 of those hours with NO FOOD, only ONE early check of blood sugar and NO breathing treatments. Despite my frequent calls to patient care, it still took two hours for the staff to get her something to eat (wrong food for diabetics), they never gave her respiratory treatments despite her intense difficulty in breathing and did not manag... read more

Good nurses. I had a very close relative in the ICU of Sisters Hospital for a while and it was a comforting experience to deal with the nurses up on that floor, they put my family at ease on a daily basis in a very difficult situation.

Wasn't that impressed I was not terribly impressed with this hospital. It was busy and the staff seemed harried and not that interested in having a good bed side manner. They were nice enough, just impatient. I waited longer then I would have liked to get care as well. The waiting room was crowded and I felt like the staff was too busy to really pay attention or be interested in my problem- which may be a function of the time or the location, but I was still less at ease here- I would recommend Millard Fillmore Suburban over... read more

Sisters is a Wonderful Hospital! I gave birth to two of my children at Sisters. The nurses were wonderful and the doctors were great! The hospital is clean and my room was right near the nursery. It was wonderful! I'd say I didn't feel a thing, but it was childbirth!
