Spa Located near Hillcrest off of Markham Street, Sirius Spa boasts a medium-sized facility primarily geared for doggie daycare and grooming, but also offers boarding. The facility does not have a fenced outdoor area and its a little noisy and over-crowded at times . However, the dogs are certainly well kept and loved and the rates are very reasonable for daycare and grooming services. They also open at 6:00 AM, which is a plus for those who need to drive the kids to school or get to work early.
Very Rude I have been taking my dog to Sirius Spa since she opened the doors, 10 + years. ago. The last couple of times i have been, the owner has been very rude to me. After today, I will NOT go back. Apparently, she hates it if you walk in a few minutes before 8:00 am before she opens. She leaves the door unlocked so I assume if the door was unlocked it was ok to go in. She didn't speak to me the first time this happened, just grabbed my dog and went on about mopping the floor. Sirius Spa is a great addition to our neighborhood They just moved to our neighborhood and we love them! The facility is open so you can see all the dogs playing. Our lab came home happy and tired!
Sirius Spa is perfect for picky people like myself... Sirius Spa is run more informally than some places, but I say that as a perk: very friendly and upbeat staff. I've been taking Gus, my four-year-old cocker spaniel, there for grooming, daycare, and extended boarding for over a year now. The Army has me stationed 2,000 miles away from all my family, so I know that I can trust them with my dog when I'm sent away. Be Reasonable We have not had a problem. The negative review because of the training collar is either fake or just stupid. Sirius Spa must pick up the phone to take appointments so to say won't return phone calls when leave message seems fake. Do you call at midnight? Why not just go by to talk about the collar? Wrote a letter too? Get a life.
Fabulous Hand Scissoring! I was quite happy with my poodle's haircut...and believe me, we've had some horrible ones in the past! Stinky? No...there was hair from where they'd been grooming but the smell was ok. And your friend's dog got mange? Do you even know how that's transmitted? Don't write a review unless you have facts to back it up! I, for one, was very pleased and will definitely be back.
My dog loves it! I like the place. Access is easy, the staff is great and my dog is happy and clean when she leaves!
Couldn't have asked for better service all around! :) I nervously took my dog, Katy, into Sirius today... After seeing a bad review for the place I was apprehensive, but the review seemed a little obnoxious, so after much hesitating I chose to disregard the bad review & try them anyway. (Much of the reason also being that all of the other places in Hillcrest area had at least 1bad review also.) Anyway, SO GLAD I DID!! They were all very personable. Negligent As a law intern I worked long hours and traveled so I trusted Sirius Spa to be responsible for my Golden Retriever, Berkley. Sadly, I discovered that they were unprofessional, irresponsible, negligent and cowardly. Against the Spaâs posted policy, they left the training collar on my dog and casually handed it to me in several pieces stating that Berkley had chewed it off of himself.
