I recently attended a marriage counseling session at Sioux Empire Christian Counseling and unfortunately left feeling very disappointed with the experience. While the counselor demonstrated some good relationship techniques, the session felt extremely one-sided. Much of the focus was directed toward criticizing one partner rather than trying to understand both perspectives equally. My husband and I did marriage counseling with Tony Boer about 3 years ago. When I would bring a serious concern forward, Tony would talk us through how it all was a big miscommunication. At the time, I was to gaslite to know my head from my feet, for the past 3 years I have been climbing the mountain of my recovery step by step and have gained some perspective. I have gone to Tony for many many years. His counseling style makes you feel very comfortable and never judged. Not only does he help me work through deep issues but he also equips me with the tools I need to handle day to day occurrences. I believe every person on this planet will benefit from counseling and I highly recommend Tony.
