The people here are really stubborn and simple. The teachers have a complete lack of respect, and abuse their authority. The staff members only care about getting paid. The board cares very little about your safety (City declared snow emergency today, school doesn't even give a late start). I honestly think that this school district is run by idiots, once I leave this state, I will repress these memories.

I’ve been told, by a very reliable source, that there have been two instances of weapons brought to a specific Sioux City middle school this year. Wondering if you can confirm this, and explain to me why parents/community were not notified? Also, assuming the children responsible were punished appropriately, what has been said to the other students at this school so that they understand the consequences of breaking the rules in this way? Im not ok with elementary school kids taking the CIRY bus to school. NOONE STOPS for the kids. They have no stop sign or arm, no emergency lights. Not acceptable.
RecommendedI love the SCCSD!! The experience of each one of my 3 children has been great! And they are in 4th, 8th & 12th grade!! Outstanding personnel!!
