RecommendedI’m having this issue and have it every Christmas season. I’m wondering who can tell me WHY it’s okay for Nodland and SunnySide schools to have a “Halliday program”, and it’s NOT okay for any other school in Morningside (or the city perhaps) to have the same opportunity? This also goes for the “Halloween party” call it a fall festival if you want I don’t care what it’s called I still want my kids to be able to wear their costumes and bring treats. RecommendedThis is ridiculous everyone has a late start but sioux city accidents all over the city and you dont call a late start get with the program people
Take into consideration the lives of the kids they put in danger this morning. Just from 6:37 this morning to 12:05 on the Sioux City Police Log there was 30 accidents. Less than 6 hours. Why did this school system not put at least a 2 hour delay out. The roads right now are still covered in ice. Is it all about the money and not the lives of the children they are suppose to protect. I guess it is the money.
14k students are at risk when it snows and schools AROUND Sioux City get at least a 2hr late start, but this school district doesn't. That's complete B.S. I do not recommend this school district because the superintendent puts lives at risk. He does not care about the side streets.
They did not take any considerations for the safety of the children today. The hill going up to West was horrible. Cars were sliding everywhere and not making it up the hill. It was extremely dangerous. Every other school in the area had a 2 hour delay but Sioux City
Every surrounding school district has delays, and here we are as parents risking ourselves with strangers driving huge busses to get out kids to school, or risking our families safety by driving them in these wintry conditions
What has the school decided about the weather this week? Awesome to see the cities around Sioux City take this serious. We all know that the Sioux City School District is known for doing nothing and then will act like it was unexpected as they release the kids during a blizzard endangering thousands of lives.
CNN is forced to be watched..... i wouldn't mind if there were a variety of outlets...... then just one
