Dr. Korten is a fantastic doctor and a wonderful person. We had to put our beloved dog down and Dr. Korten handled this terrible situation with compassion and empathy. We needed to gather some family for this late-day sad event, and Dr. Korten patiently waited 30 minutes after hours for our family to get there. He made a horrid situation bearable, and we are extremely grateful that we have him in our town.
RecommendedI can’t say enough about the Simsbury VET. I have two cats and two dogs and recently moved to the area about two years ago. I find the staff to be very helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable. I also find the cost of services to be very reasonable.
Had our first appointment with Dr. Korten today. Dr. Korten and his staff, Nina,Becky and Amanda are very kind, professional and accommodating. Highly recommend
We saw Dr. Korten for the first time today after my Uncle recommended him, and he did a great job with our Aussie! Dr. Korten and the staff were warm and welcoming and gave great service. I will definitely continue to bring my dog here. Thank you to everyone at the office!

I brought my 9 almost 10 year old boxer here for the first time and we saw Dr. L and it was such a great experience. We had been going to another vet my dogs whole life but our vet passed away and we have been searching for the same level of caring and compassion and we FINALLY found it and then some. I recommend Dr. Lafleur. She is very good, compassionate and dedicated to helping your dog feel better. She helped my dog pass over the rainbow bridge with compassion and concern, was looking for ways to help him up until the end. Thank you Dr. Lafleur!
Switched from Salmon Brook Vet. Hospital to Simsbury Vet. Hospital because the former, in my mind, was simply a pet conveyor belt with more on its mind of profit than on concern for animals. I have since been very satisfied with feline care and concern that has been provided by Dr. Korten, DVM.
