Great service, friendly employees, excellent products. Highly recommend whether you need 20 pieces of 20 pallets of sod
We order 10 pallets of grass ( few thousand dollars worth) after putting in a pool. We were given instructions to water thoroughly twice a day for two weeks. Of course we didn’t water it on the days it rained heavily . We started seeing very large patches of dead grass for no rhyme or reason. My husband sent Simpson pictures and asked what it could be they really didn’t have a clue. We had a professional Sod company come out and they said Simpson Sod put down the wrong kind of grass. The grass that they put down is not compa... read more
I don't know wether it's their sod or they get it from a vendor but it was the worst batch I've ever bought. the cuts are all crooked and on angles. I usually get from sonnie sod but Simpson was closer and I only needed a half of a pallet. I paid less at sonnie sod for a better cut product. hopefully they both grow.
Cannot get the owner to call me back or even someone to go out and look at the sod. The instructions on caring for the sod was emailed two weeks later after telling them it was dying. they never had us sign to accept the work because the manager on the job site (only one who speaks English) left before the job was complete. Nor were the instructions on how to care for provided to us. The number on the invoice for complaints does not handle complaints so legal action it goes! Do not use!!
Business response:
Prior to the job beginning, our sales representative met with your husband about the job. When our sales representative discovered it was a rental home, he asked your husband who was going to be responsible for watering the grass. He told him the tenant would be responsible. The grass was delivered and installed on a Friday. The driver left the care instructions and invoice in the door of the home as no one was there when it was delivered. The install crew laid the grass that day. Your husband contacted our office that day a... read more
We use Simpson Sod for Compete. You really want a company that treats your problems like theirs. Robbie with Simpson Sod does that. We have had his experience helping us build and maintain the fields we use for flag football. There's no question they have given us great pricing on everything and we have enjoyed dealing with Robbie and Simpson Sod for years now.
Was delivered a terrible pallet of sod and was told “that’s what they gave me” at delivery..will not use again..very poor quality work
I purchased a pallet and a half back of grass in July. My son n law and I placed it. The grass looked great. About 2 weeks later, the grass began to die. I took pictures and showed them to Simpson sod. I was told it had a fungus. We applied a fungicide, it did not work. Most all my new grass died. I informed Simpson and they sent a gentleman named Mike. He told me that they wanted to help me out. I was called the next day and was told that they would give me another pallet of grass if I could want for the grass that they get... read more
They loaded dry grass on my trailer and told me it was just cut. I told them this grass was dry and nearly dead, but they insisted it was just cut yesterday. To avoid a argument and to stop the yelling, I took the grass. But never again will I do that. This is the worst grass I have ever dealt with and the people are NOT that nice as other people say they are. I Suppose as long as they can push the dead grass off on you they would be nice! I would advise anyone NOT to buy grass from them. Every second or third piece of my gr... read more

Mr. Haddox, I would like to thank you for meeting with Mike today. We appreciate the opportunity to make this right. It is not just two pallets of grass, to us it's a relationship. Mike really enjoyed his time with you and we look forward to seeing you soon.
